“EXO” is abbreviation of “Extra Opaque”. EXO inks are designed as the base colors for color matching aiming at high opacity and high density. They are suitable for printing on dark colored substrate such as black material of industrial parts. They are also widely used as backing.

1. As EXO inks are base colors for color matching, they cannot be used as they are. If EXO inks are used as they are, cracks on the ink film or poor adhesion may occur. When they are used for color matching, mixing ratio of EXO must be up to 60%. If they are used as they are, add CLEAR ink of each series by approx. 20%. Do not mix EXO WHITE and 07 OPAQUE WHITE.
2. It is not advised to print EXO-contained-matched color on EXO-contained-matched color. Cracks or poor adhesion may occur with time. When several colors are printed, be sure to print the ink of low pigment-content as the first layer.
3. As EXO INK contains more pigment than standard colors, there might be chalking or migration by abrasion. Our standard shows the grades of EXO INK are 3rd-4th(No migration : 5th grade). Over-coating or laminating is necessary to prevent chalking. Chalking resistance is not required when the ink is printed on the back side of the substrate.
