RC TUM 64 Series
Properties
Good adhesion to untreated PET. Fast curing. Low-halogen.
PREFACE
RC TUM 64 SERIES is low-halogen UV curable ink for untreated polyester film with better curing than RC TU 44 SERIES. Colored ink, which are not available in conventional 44 SERIES, are available in this series.

CHARACTERISTICS

- Low-halogen(Cl and Br are not intentionally contained as ingredients)

MINIMUM CURING CONDITIONS
- Type of lamp : Metal halide lamp with air-cooling system
- Power of lamp : 120W/cm one lamp
- Integral light 150mj/cm²
PRECAUTIONS
- There are various grades in polyester film, which affects adhesion. Please be sure to perform test print to confirm if sufficient adhesion can be obtained on the substrate.
- Add reducer up to 10% to lower the viscosity.
- 300-350 meshes/inch is recommended. Please make the thickness of the sol below 10 microns.
- Solvent resistance of TUM 64 SERIES is inferior to that of TU 44 SERIES. RC TU 44 SERIES is recommended for the applications that need solvent resistance such as forming textures surface.
- TU 44 SERIES, except 44-00 transparent clear, can be printed on TUM 64 SERIES.
- Adhesion is spoiled by mixing 44 SERIES and 64 SERIES. Please do not mix these two series.
- When fluidity of TUM Clear decreases, stir well while warming at approx.60 degrees Celsius. Decrease of the fluidity is caused by the characteristics of resin and does not affect the quality of the ink.
- If the ink cannot be washed out with the normal thinner, SSP Thinner (Standard drying) is recommended.
- TUM 64 series is product for export and manufactured after receipt of the order. There are normally no stock.
- Please refer to the literature "UV INKS" for general precautions for UV ink.

- Information given here is gained from our laboratory testing, and no firm guarantee is implied.
- The lamp of high power(W) is recommended to have opacity although almost the same result can be obtained with 80W/cm(10m/min. integral light 150 mJ/cm²)
