Ink

JELCON IN-15M

Insulating coating is essential for the print circuits of membrane switches. JELCON 15M are one-component type of insulating inks which are designed to print on un-treated PET.

CHARACTERISTICS

  1. Excellent insulating properties. (resistance:≧1012Ω)
  2. One component type. Fast cure.
  3. Excellent adhesion and flexibility.
  4. Blocking will not occur due to their matt finish.
  5. Good levelling. Few pin holes appear.
  6. The influence on silver circuits and the increase in resistance are small.
  7. Stable on screen. Printability including reproducibility is good.
  8. Skin irritation is low. Safe to handle.

ITEMS AVAILABLE

Non-silicone type. Insulating coating on print circuits on polyester film.

HOW TO USE

  1. Ink is supplied in ready-to-use condition. Stir well before use. The viscosity changes depending on the temperature. Adjust viscosity by adding REDUCER up to 5% in order to obtain the specified thickness of the ink film.
  2. Mesh recommended: Use 180-200 meshes (Thickness of ink film : Approx.16-20 microns).
  3. Standard curing conditions of our laboratory:
Metal halide lamp 120 W/cm, one lamp, Distance from focus : 10 cm
    Conveyor speed : 6-8 m/min (Integral light : approx.350-450 mJ/cm2)
    Cooling : air cooling
  4. Use our VINYL CLEANING THINNER for washing up.

VISCOSITY

Approx. 7000mPa·s (Viscotester Brookfield temperature of the ink : 25℃)

COVERAGE

Approx. 50-60 m2/kg

PRECAUTIONS

  1. Please refer to our literature, “UV INKS” for general precautions.
  2. Storage stability: Store the ink in a cool and dark place. Stir occasionally to keep stability when the ink is stored for a long time. Shelf life is within 2 years after manufacturing date following the above instruction of storage.
  3. Ink is colored green to make the test after printing easier. If the thickness of the ink changes, curing also changes due to the change in pigment density. Please be sure to maintain the thickness of ink as above recommended.
  4. Adhesion will change depending on the type/thickness of the polyester. Pre-test is essential.
  5. As IN-15M is non-silicone ink, be careful not to mix silicone with this ink. If silicone material is mixed, crawling or pin-holes will occur.
  6. Please refer to SDS before use.
  7. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.
