JELCON B-5S BINDER is the ink that adheres injected resin to printed film in insert-molding and in-mold molding process.

CHARACTERISTICS
- Good printability due to one-component type.
- Good heat resistance.
- Adhesion, especially to ABS, is excellent.
HOW TO USE
Mixing ratio
Ink:PC thinner(standard drying, slow drying or retarder)=100:10-30.
DRYING
30-60 minutes at 70～80℃ is recommended.
MESH
Use coarser mesh than 200 meshes/inch.
PRECAUTIONS
- The choice of resin affects how good adhesion between injected resin and binder ink can be obtained. Please choose suitable resin by the test to confirm the performance.
- The success of making in-mold material depends on various factors, such as, the choice of binder ink and the ink to print patterns, printing conditions, choice of resin and molding conditions. The performance of the finished product cannot be guranteed only with binder ink. Please perform sufficient test to choose each condition.
- If two-component type of ink is used to print patterns, print binder ink while such ink is still in tack-free condition and dry completely after that. Good adhesion may not be obtained if binder ink is printed on completely dried pattern-printing ink.
