JELCON MS SERIES
(WATER-BASED MASKING INK)

INTRODUCTIONS

Water-based masking inks, JELCON MS SERIES, are designed to protect the surface of any plastics with screen printing. Removal of MS SERIES is easy. Any mesh can be used because of their water-based resin, and levelling and reproducibility are excellent. They also form barrier against organic thinner.

HOW TO USE

  1. Inks are supplied in a ready-to-use condition.
  2. Although any meshes can be used, finer meshes than 170/inch are recommended.
  3. Ink film is soluble in water.
  4. Warm water should be used for washing up.

DRYING

Although inks dry at room temperature, heat dry shortens the drying time.
ex. T-250 meshes/inch, 80-100°C(176-212°F) : approx. 10 sec.

PRECAUTIONS

  1. Use water proof stencils.
  2. In case of screening on masking ink, the thinner which tends to absorb water should be avoided for both the printing inks and the solvent.
  3. If the inks are left in the place with high temperature and high humidity, removability is spoiled because of viscosity.
  4. 4 microns is enough to protect the surface of the substrates. In case of printing on masking ink, thicker film is recommended.
  5. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.
