JELCON DS-4N

INTRODUCTIONS

JELCON DS-4N is transparent UVcurable ink which forms thick ink film of dot spacer on transparent switch panels. DS-4N is highly viscous and thixotropic.

APPLICATIONS

Untreated polyester film

CHARACTERISTICS

  1. Excellent adhesion to untreated polyester.
  2. Flexible.
  3. Skin irritation is low. Safe to handle.
  4. Stable on the screen. Good printability.

HOW TO USE

  1. Mesh recommended: Stainless 120 meshes
  2. The thickness of the ink film : 60 - 80 microns
  3. Standard curing conditions :
    Metal halide lamp 120 W/cm², one lamp, Distance from focus : 10 cm
    Conveyor speed : 6 m/min (Integral light : approx.500 mJ/cm²)
    Cooling : water cooling

VISCOSITY

  Viscosity : 26,000 ± 7,500 mPa·s (25°C)(77°F) BROOKFIELD HADV-I

PRECAUTIONS

  1. Adhesion will change depending on the type/thickness of the polyester. Pre-test is essential.
  2. Please refer to the literature "UV INK" for the general precautions of UV ink.
  3. Storage stability :
    Store the ink in a cool and dark place avoiding direct sunshine. Stir occasionally to keep stability when the ink is stored for a long time.
  4. Please refer to MSDS before use.

PROPERTIES

  DS-4N is printed on polyester film (Toray Lumiler T-125) and cured with above mentioned conditions.
