9100 SERIES PET INK

We stopped production of this SERIES INK. (Dec., 2010)

We stopped production of this SERIES INK. The following information is just for your reference.

INTRODUCTIONS

9100 SERIES PET is gloss ink designed for polyester film. Printability and post-print processability are excellent.

APPLICATIONS

Polyester film & stickers.

CHARACTERISTICS

  1. As non-silicone de-foamer is used, water-based adhesion can be over-printed after drying. Ink film is flexible and post-processability is excellent.
  2. Excellent printability. Fine patterns can be reproduced.
  3. 9100 SERIES can be printed in high viscosity. Suitable for high-speed printing.
  4. Good resistance to oil, gasoline, alcohol, chemicals and weathering.
  5. Stable in color-matching.
  6. Flat and semi-gloss finish.

HOW TO USE

Dilute the ink with TETRON THINNER(standard drying or slow drying). Add TETRON RETARDER or PET RETARDER to make the drying slower.

DRYING

PET SERIES are designed to dry slowly in order to avoid clogging. Heat drying is essential.
9100 SERIES brings semi-gloss finish. Special attention should be paid to blocking. Ink diluted with 10% TETRON THINNER SLOW DRYING TYPE. 270 meshes/inch. Solid print.

STENCIL AND WASHING UP

Use photo-stencil. Our VINYL CLEANING THINNER is recommended for washing up.

COLORS & TYPE OF PACKING

Standard 17 colors, Transparent 7 colors. 1-kg-can.

PRECAUTIONS

  1. Hardener JA-960(fast reaction),JA-950(slow reaction, no yellowing) or JA-940(for flexibility) can be added to PET SERIES by approx.10% to improve physical properties such as adhesion, heat resistance and abrasion resistance. The mixture has pot life.
  2. Matt version,9000 SERIES PET INK, is available. Adhesion and blocking resistance of 9000 SERIES are better than those of 9100 SERIES.
  3. 9000N SERIES, which has better adhesion and flexibility than 9000 SERIES, are available.
  4. 9000 SERIES and 9100 can be mixed. However, as the defoamer used in 9000 is different from that in 9100, crawling may appear.
  5. Defoamer used in standard colors and transparent colors is different. Although these 2 types of ink belong to the same 9100 series, crawling may happen due to the different defoamer. Add JA-750X, defoamer, to solve crawling problem.
  6. Please refer to MSDS before use.
  7. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

9107 OPAQUE WHITE is diluted with TETRON SLOW DRYING THINNER and printed on un-treated PET film(125microns) with T-270 screen. The printed matter was dried at 100°C for 80 seconds and was left at room temperature for one day.

  1. The informations given here are obtained from our laboratory testing and no firm guarantee is implied.
  2. The weathering resistance varies depending on the color. Please refer to lightfastness chart. The weathering resistance of matched colors, especially smoke colors or pale colors, are much inferior to that of primary colors.
