FUNCOAT COLOR BASE
for META-MIRROR INK

APPLICATIONS

The additive to color Meta-Mirror ink. This color base can be used for color-matching.

HOW TO USE

Add the color base to Meta-Mirror ink. Mix well using mixing machine or oscillation mixing machine. The color base and ink may separate in course of time. Mix well to make it uniform again.

COMPATIBLE INK OR RESTRICTION TO USE

Compatible ink : Silver, SD Silver, N-Silver, PC Silver
Restriction to use : When the color base is added to YK Silver, print immediately after adding and use up the mixture. The color base specially for YK Silver is under development.

ADDING RATIO

There is not limit to adding quantity.
The standard adding ratio is approximately : Pale color : Ink : color base = 100 : 5
Metallic color : Ink : color base = 100 : 100
Dark color : Ink : color base = 100 : 200

STORAGE

Store the product in a cool, dry and dark place avoiding direct sunshine as the quality is affected by heat and humidity. Once the color base is added to the Meta-Mirror ink, the shelf life of the mixture is not long. Use up the mixture as soon as possible and within 3 months.

The mixture of color base and ink : 3 months

COLOR RANGE

S-YELLOW, R-YELLOW, PERMANENT RED, RED, MAGENTA, VIOLET, BLUE, GREEN, BLACK

PRECAUTIONS

1. The more the color base is added, the less mirror-effect becomes. Much addition may lead to poor levelling or bubbles.
   The maximum adding ratio to maintain mirror-effect is :
   ink : color base = 100 : 100
   Even though the mirror-effect remains at this maximum ratio, the finish is remarkably degraded comparing with the Meta-mirror ink without color base.
2. The color base and ink may separate in course of time. Mix well to make it uniform again.
3. The mixture of blue and violet color base may fade in course of time. If the color fades, it cannot be returned to the original color even if it is re-mixed. It is strongly recommended to add these shades of color base just before printing. Use up the mixture avoiding long storage. The faded color can be closer to the original color shades by adding more color base.
