JELCON RAY TACK-10
(UV CURABLE ADHESIVE)

We stopped production of this INK. (Jul., 2008)

We stopped production of this INK. The following information is just for your reference.

INTRODUCTIONS

JELCON RAYTACK is pressure-sensitive UV curable adhesive for screen printing which has excellent printability, precision and adhesion. Ink film with excellent adhesion is formed with UV irradiation. No organic solvent is contained in its components. RAYTACK-10 is better than conventional RAYTACK-NEW in both strength against peeling-off and adhesion-maintaining. The adhesion to untreated PET film is also good.

CHARACTERISTICS

  1. Excellent printability
As the ink cures at lower temperature than conventional water-based or solvent- based pressure-sensitive adhesive, precision is improved, which leads to better productivity.
As no solvent is contained, viscosity is stable. No clogging occurs. It is easy to wash the stencil.
As the component is 100% non-volatile, the thickness of ink film is stable. It is possible to print thick film.
  2. Excellent adhesion & adhesion-maintaining

HOW TO USE

  1. The product is supplied in ready-to-use condition. Stir well before use.
  2. Screen: Stainless 80-150 meshes/inch or polyester 60-200 meshes/inch.
The thicker the ink film is, the better the adhesion becomes.
  3. Use the product in the environmental temperature of 20-30degrees avoiding direct sunshine.
  4. Use our VINYL CLEANING THINNER to wash up stencils and squeegees.

CURING CONDITIONS

  • UV lamp: one metal halide lamp 120W/cm
  • Integral light: 300-1,000mJ/cm²

COVERAGE

10-40 m²/kg

TYPE OF PACKING

1-kg-plastic-container

PRECAUTIONS

  1. Please refer to the literature "UV INK" for general precautions.
  2. As RAYTACK-10 is non-silicone, crawling may happen by the contact with silicone. Wash printing equipments (stencil, squeegee, scrapers) well before print. The small addition (approx.0.5%) of JAR-9(silicone de-foamer) can solve this problem although the strength against peeling-off and adhesive-maintaining are degraded.
  3. Attach separator within 1 hour after UV irradiation. Use separator whose silicone migration is small.
  4. Store the ink in a cool and dark place (under 30 degrees Centrigrade)avoiding direct sunshine.
  5. Please refer to MSDS before use.
  6. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.

Adhesion
After the ink was adhered to stainless steel plate using a rubber roller, leave it with 300g/cm²-load for 1 hour at room temperature.
Strength against peeling-off
Digital force gauge PGD-20 is used. Peak load when the printed matter is stretched to vertical direction.
Adhesion-maintaining
The time until the printed matter peels off from stainless steel plate, when 0.5-kg-load is added to vertical direction.
