JELCON IN SERIES

INTRODUCTIONS

Insulating coating is essential for the print circuits of membrane switches.
JELCON IN SERIES are one-component type of insulating/insulating-spacer inks which are designed to print on treated PET.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Excellent insulating properties. (resistance: >1013 ohm )
  • One component type. Fast cure.
  • Excellent adhesion and flexibility.
  • Good levelling. Few pin holes appear.
  • The influence on silver circuits and the increase in resistance are small.
  • Stable on screen. Printability including reproducibility is good.
  • Skin irritation is low. Safe to handle.

ITEMS AVAILABLE

JELCON IN-11

For insulating coating of printed circuits on polyester film. IN-11 can be used as jumper.

JELCON INS-5

Spacer on insulating coating. Although it is flexible, it is notrecommended to use INS-5 for the part which requires high flexibility.

HOW TO USE

  • Ink is supplied in ready-to-use condition. Stir well before use. The viscosity changes depending on the temperature. Adjust viscosity by adding IN REDUCER up to 5% in order to obtain the specified thickness of the ink film.
  • Mesh recommended:
IN-11: 180-200 meshes (Thickness of ink film : Approx.16-20 microns)
INS-5: 60-120 meshes (Thickness of ink film : Approx.60-80 microns)
    Stainless is recommendable.
  • Standard curing conditions of our laboratory:
Metal halide lamp 120 W/cm, one lamp, Distance from focus : 10 cm
    Conveyor speed : 6-8 m/min (Integral light : approx.350-450 mJ/cm²)
    Cooling : air cooling
  • Use our VINYL CLEANING THINNER for washing up.

VISCOSITY

  • IN-11 : 2600-5000 mPa·s (25°C)(77°F) BROOKFIELD HADV-I
  • INS-5 : 10000-13000 mPa·s (25°C)(77°F) BROOKFIELD HADV-I

COVERAGE

  • IN-11 : Approx. 50-60 m²/kg
  • INS-5 : Approx. 10-20 m²/kg

PRECAUTIONS

  1. Skin irritation(P.I.I)
P.I.I.value is under 2.0, which means low skin irritation. However, it is advised to avoid contact with skin. If the product contacts with skin, wash with soap and water immediately.
  2. Storage stability
Store the ink in a cool and dark place. Stir occasionally to keep stability when the ink is stored for a long time. Shelf life is within 6 months following the above instruction of storage.
  3. Handling
Follow the regulations concerning this product. Please refer to MSDS before use.
