PREFAC

5100 SERIES AQUA SET INK is water-based ink for general purposes. Dried ink film is thick and has good properties. Suitable for various kinds of plastics.

APPLICATIONS

Paper, vinyl stickers, rigid vinyl, acryl, ABS, AS, styrol, polycarbonate, synthetic paper and wooden products.

CHARACTERISTICS

• Low odor. Low-pollutant. Non-flammable.
• Good printability.
• Good resistance to water, oil and blocking.
• Weathering resistance is up to 6 months under outdoor exposure.

HOW TO USE

Dilute the ink with water or STYROL THINNER(standard drying type). When ink is diluted with water, drying is faster than when diluted with STYROL THINNER. When slower drying is required, use #4 RETARDER. It is possible to use the mixture of water and thinner to adjust drying speed.

DRYING

AQUA SET INK is diluted with STYROL THINNER(standard drying).

• paper, wooden products (absorbing side) :5-10 minutes
• plastics (non-absorbing side) : 10-20 minutes

STENCIL

Use stencils which have good resistance to both water and solvent.

WASHING UP

Water-proofness and solvent resistance of AQUA SET INK improves remarkably after the ink film dries, which means the ink does not dissolve in water. Use STYROL THINNER (fast drying) for washing up. It is advised to wash the stencil soon after use. If the ink contacts with skin or clothes, wash it off completely with soap and water.

LIGHTFASTNESS

4-8grades (Please refer to lightfastness chart).

PRECAUTIONS

1. Thin paper may curl up in case of solid print.
2. Drying is slower in case of over-printing compared with single hit. Dry completely.
3. Clear ink cannot be mixed with metal powder to make gold as the quality of ink changes by the reaction with the metal powder. In this case, match the color using aluminum paste + clear ink + yellow ink. Use up the color-matched ink within the day.
4. When the ink is used on the industrial products, be sure to check if the ink can pass the criteria before commercial run.
